Madekwe was a part of the comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program ran in the US on The CW for only two episodes, before it was removed from the air.
